All A.R.E. candidates are invited to attend a one-day workshop on structural systems, presented by practicing structural engineers from Luckett & Farley Structural in Louisville.
This workshop provides an overview of the structural materials, components, loads, and concepts included in the ARE: Structural Systems exam. Though this will be a fast-paced review, this is your opportunity to ask questions you may have such as, “What is ‘overturning’ and how do I quantify it?”, “What is the difference between ASD and LRFD?”, “When, where, and why do I need rebar?”. Though we can’t promise we know what will be on the test, this course is designed to lend a helping hand to those who find ‘Structural systems’ to be intimidating or insurmountable by demonstrating how to find solutions effectively.
Admission is FREE for AIA Associate Members or $15 for others. Lunch and Presentation Slides are included.
